Male Facelift Surgery in Alpharetta

Don’t let an aging face get the best of you

Sagging in the jowls, cheeks and neck can make a man look tired, unfit, or older than his actual age. Gravity is something we can’t stop, but you don’t have to let aging facial tissues continue to take their course. Facelift surgery can help you fight the drooping jowls and neck, refining the appearance of your face and jawline.

By repositioning facial tissues beneath the skin as well as removing excess, sagging skin on the lower face and neck, a facelift can dramatically reduces signs of aging without changing the essence of your facial appearance. This classic procedure can help take years off your appearance with results that age naturally with you, so you continue to look better refreshed than you might without surgery.

About male facelift surgery in Alpharetta

For men, who have naturally heavier features and thicker skin, facelift surgery requires a unique approach. Our plastic surgeons are skilled in subtle, yet effective techniques that can make your desired changes without changing your natural, masculine features.

The facelift procedure itself involves three key steps. First, the skin is separated from the underlying muscle and structural tissue. Next, this structural tissue is returned to a more natural position and secured with permanent sutures for support. Finally, excess, loose skin is removed and the remaining skin is re-draped over the lifted facial tissues, offering a natural appearance without an artificially tight or “pulled” look.

Incisions are made in inconspicuous locations, typically behind the hairline and in the natural creases around the ear. If you are having a neck lift too, there may be an additional small incision under the chin.

Facelift recovery & aftercare

Facelift surgery is an outpatient procedure at The Swan Center, performed in our accredited, on-site private surgery suite. You will be released to go home shortly following surgery, where you can continue your recovery. Pain is usually minimal, and many patients are fine with Tylenol for comfort after just a day or two. While you’ll need to keep activity light for 2 or 3 weeks, you can resume most of your normal routine after 1 or 2 weeks, as long as you avoid lifting, straining or strenuous activity. Most men are back to work within 2 weeks following a facelift.

Keeping your facelift under the radar

Few men we work with want the world to know they’ve had a facelift. While our surgeons will take care of most of this through skillful surgical techniques, you can ensure your privacy by scheduling some “vacation” time around your surgery. You will likely be cleared to go out in public several days after surgery, but post-op swelling and bruising may be noticeable for up to 2 weeks.

Boost your results with complementary procedures

A facelift concentrates on the cheeks, mid-face, and jawline. An eyelid lift or brow lift can be incorporated into facelift surgery to address sagging eyelids or a furrowed brow for more comprehensive results. Non-surgical treatments such as BOTOX® & fillers or laser skin resurfacing can help diminish blemishes and smooth out more moderate facial wrinkles.
