Décolletage Peel
If you’ve spent time enjoying the sun poolside over the years, it’s likely that your décolletage shows the effects of sun damage. The good news is there are a number of effective ways to improve the appearance and texture of the skin on your chest, so you can feel more confident wearing anything from your favorite swimsuit to a formal strapless dress.
Safe, gentle, and effective chemical peels of varying strengths can be topically applied to remove superficial layers of damaged skin cells. Depending on your skin, level of desired improvement, and other factors, your Swan Center aesthetician will make a plan that suits your needs. You may need multiple peels over time to achieve the desired results.
- Glycolic Peels use Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) to loosen dead skin cells and exfoliate superficial layers of damaged skin leaving behind a smoother surface.
- Blue Peels use Tri-Chloroacetic Acid (TCA) to improve skin tone and reverse the signs of aging. Blue peels also loosen dead skin cells, exfoliating deeper layers of the skin to allow underlying new skin to resurface.
Recovery from décolletage skin peel
Recovery will largely depend on the level of peel you and your aesthetician choose, but generally, a chemical peel is a quick procedure with little or no recovery time. We’ll provide you with personalized procedure and recovery information to guide you, as well as post-peel home care products to apply to the treated areas.
Seeing your results
Immediately after a chemical peel, your skin may be red and sensitive. This will gradually subside and your results will gradually become apparent. One individual peel may not have a dramatic effect, but we’ll help you develop a plan for multiple peels as needed. Many peels can be performed again after two weeks of healing time, and each additional planned peel will cumulatively improve your skin’s appearance.
