Education & Training

After earning dual degrees in industrial engineering and vertebrate physiology from Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Fardo attended the highly ranked and renowned University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

He was honored as the salutatorian of his class and received multiple awards for his outstanding performance in the classroom and on rotation. Dr. Fardo was also elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the selective national medical honor society.

He then completed his general surgery and plastic surgery training at the GRAMEC/Michigan State University program, one of the oldest combined plastic surgery training programs in the United States. Dr. Fardo also completed fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic and oculoplastic training at PACES Plastic Surgery. Dr. Fardo was a staff attending physician at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic before returning to the Atlanta area to be closer to family.

Dr. Fardo is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and a member of numerous medical societies, including The Aesthetic Society. Only about 25% of all board-certified plastic surgeons have been accepted into this prestigious group.

Dr. Fardo’s unique training in both plastic surgery and oculoplastic surgery makes him exceptionally qualified to treat the delicate areas of the face and eyelids. He is a member of the prestigious American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, a select group of around 500 surgeons specializing in facial reconstruction and enhancement.

Dr. Fardo has been involved in several national clinical studies on breast implants.
