How does microneedling work?

SkinPen's medical-grade needles create controlled micro-injuries in your skin. This triggers your body's wound healing response, flooding the area with growth factors and stimulating new collagen and elastin production. Over several weeks, this natural process rebuilds your skin's structure, smoothing the texture and reducing visible imperfections.

Does the treatment hurt?

We apply topical numbing cream 30 minutes before treatment to minimize discomfort. Most patients describe the sensation as mild vibration or light pressure. The procedure is well-tolerated without anesthesia or pain medication.

What's recovery like?

Your skin will look red immediately after treatment, similar to a sunburn. This typically fades within one to three days. You can resume most normal activities right away. We recommend avoiding makeup for 24 hours and strictly avoiding sun exposure while your skin heals.

When will I see results?

Initial improvements in skin texture and tone appear within two to three weeks. Results continue improving for three to six months as your body produces fresh collagen. Many patients notice their skin looks brighter and smoother within the first month.

Is microneedling safe for my skin type?

SkinPen is clinically proven safe and effective for all skin types, including darker skin tones prone to hyperpigmentation. The treatment doesn't use heat or harsh chemicals that can trigger pigmentation issues.
