HALO Laser Resurfacing in Atlanta

You shouldn’t have to compromise for beautiful skin
HALO hybrid laser in Atlanta

Laser treatments often seem to come with a trade-off. Either deal with weeks of downtime to let the treated area heal, or wait through months of treatments before you’re satisfied with the results you see. Not anymore!

We’re proud to offer our Atlanta area patients the HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser. This combo laser offers the rapid results associated with ablative laser resurfacing as well as minimal downtime you can expect with non-ablative lasers. With the HALO, we can address aging both on the skin’s surface and deeper into the dermal layers to achieve dramatic improvements in skin tone, texture, and clarity.

How the HALO helps you get better skin with less downtime

Many lasers are either ablative or non-ablative. This means they work either by removing outer layers of skin to address fine lines, acnes scars, or other problems, or by delivering energy through the skin to promote collagen deep within. Ablative lasers work quickly, but usually require several weeks of downtime. Non-ablative lasers don’t require much (if any) downtime, but results appear more slowly and usually require several treatments.

The HALO offers the best of both worlds. With this advanced laser, we can apply two wavelengths simultaneously, adjusting the treatment to target surface-level imperfections while stimulating collagen remodeling and cellular repair in the inner dermal layers.

The HALO not only allows us to treat skin aging more quickly, but also achieves the desired improvements with minimal downtime on your part.

What skin problems can the HALO treat?

As a hybrid laser, the HALO is extremely versatile and can treat a myriad of mild to severe skin concerns on the face, neck, hands, and décolletage:

  • Sun damage
  • Brown spots and hyperpigmentation
  • Fine lines, deeper wrinkles, and creases
  • Acne or chicken pox scars
  • Uneven skin tone and texture

I struggled with Adult Acne for a period of time. I tried multiple skincare products and treatments… I had two Halo Treatments at the Swan Center and my skin has never been more clear… The results are amazing!!

Is the HALO laser safe for darker skin?

The highly tunable laser hybrid laser wavelengths make the HALO safe for a variety of skin types, even many darker skin tones. The best way to determine whether HALO or another resurfacing treatment will be suitable for you is to come in for a consultation with our experienced skincare team.

What to expect with HALO treatments in Atlanta

The first step to any laser treatment at The Swan Center is a free consultation and skin evaluation. Our expert skincare staff will go over your concerns, your goals for treatment, and your skincare habits. Then we’ll evaluate your skin to determine how best to treat your concerns. If it’s determined that the HALO will be an effective treatment for you, then we’ll get started.

After applying a topical numbing cream to the treatment area, your provider will place the HALO handheld laser device over your skin. The laser wavelengths will be tuned in to provide you the optimal benefits for your needs. You’ll feel a warm sensation, but most patients don’t find treatment painful. Treatment takes about 30 to 45 minutes for most skin concerns.

How we enhance your results

While HALO hybrid laser treatments can do wonders for more refreshed-looking skin, this treatment focuses on treating the skin tone and texture. If you, like many of our patients, are also frustrated by additional skin concerns such as sagging skin or fine lines and wrinkles, a complementary procedure can easily be incorporated into your treatment plan for more complete rejuvenation!

After your HALO laser treatment

Depending on the specific wavelengths used to treat your skin, you may require a few days to heal. The most common side effects are a continued warm sensation (for about 30 minutes after treatment), mild redness or swelling, or a bronzed tint to the treated area. These effects typically subside within the first 3 or so days after treatment. You should be fine to go about normal activities, but we may ask you to avoid strenuous exercise or activities that raise body temperature until initial healing is complete.

One thing all patients need to do after HALO laser treatments: stay out of the sun! Keep the area protected with clothing and apply broad-spectrum sunscreen before going outdoors. Our skincare team can recommend a high-quality sunscreen that is safe to use on laser treated skin.

When will I see results after HALO laser resurfacing?

Many patients experience noticeable improvements after just 7 days. Results are usually looking great after about 3 weeks, and continue to improve for several months.

How many treatments will I need with HALO?

Many patients are satisfied after just 1 or 2 treatments (compared to 5 or more with some other lasers). More extensive signs of aging may benefit from up to 4 treatments spaced about one month apart.
