Atlanta Eyelid Surgery for Men

Restore a refreshed appearance to your eyes

First impressions matter—and your eyes are the first thing others notice when meeting you. Drooping, heavy eyelids and sagging or puffiness underneath the eyes can give a false impression about your mood and vitality. If you are concerned that your eyes are causing you to look tired or unmotivated, eyelid lift surgery can help.

Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, corrects a tired appearance on the upper and lower eyelids by removing excess, sagging skin and repositioning underlying tissues. Our experienced plastic surgeons are skilled in advanced eyelid surgery techniques specifically for male patients, offering subtle changes that can make real difference in how you feel about your appearance.

What can eyelid surgery do for me?

Our male patients are typically less concerned with looking younger and are instead focused on improving a fatigued appearance caused by sagging skin on the lower eyelids, or improve field of vision that is being hindered by hanging skin over the upper eyelids. Upper or lower eyelid surgery can help alleviate either or both of these problems, along with providing a smoother, more refined appearance to your eyes.

What is the eyelid surgery procedure like?

Eyelid surgery is a relatively short, outpatient procedure performed in our on-site accredited surgery suite. Surgery specifics vary depending on your goals and anatomy as well as the area being addressed. Upper eyelid surgery, involves a tiny incision in the natural crease of the upper eyelid and/or inside the eyelid to remove excess skin and reposition muscle or fat to eliminate sagging skin and open your range of vision. A lower eyelid procedure typically involves an incision along the lower eyelid. Excess, herniated fat is removed or repositioned to eliminate puffiness.

Recovery & aftercare for male eyelid surgery

You’ll be ready to go home shortly after your eyelid surgery to rest in comfort. You won’t be confined to bed, but you should take it easy for the first 2 or 3 days. Your eyes will not be bandaged, but some soreness is likely, and your eyes will tire easily for several weeks. Most patients are back to work in about a week for a desk job, taking necessary breaks to rest the eyes. While some bruising and swelling may occur, these effects should subside significantly over a week or two, making it possible to socialize freely without anyone noticing anything except your more refined appearance.
